Youth Minister attends launch of Kooheji Jewellery collection by Youth City 2030 talent

Young Bahraini designers showcased their sketches turned into finished jewellery pieces at Jewellery Arabia. The initiative, created through a ministry–Kooheji partnership, aims to build real skills and expand career paths for youth.
Manama: Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, attended the launch of a jewellery collection designed by participants from Youth City 2030. The event took place at the Kooheji Jewellery pavilion during the Jewellery Arabia Exhibition and showcased pieces created through a specialised training programme conducted in partnership with Kooheji Jewellery.
Walid Al Kooheji, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kooheji Jewellery, was also present. The minister toured the pavilion to view the jewellery designed by the young participants, whose initial ideas and sketches were developed into finished pieces reflecting their creativity and technical skills.
Minister Tawfiqi highlighted the strong cooperation between the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Kooheji Jewellery, noting that the initiative helped discover and support young national talent. She said the programme offered participants valuable hands-on experience to build their skills and improve their career prospects, reflecting the potential of Bahraini youth in creative fields. She also praised the winning designers for turning their ideas into distinct pieces that show their dedication to developing their abilities.
Walid Al Kooheji expressed pride in the young participants for presenting their designs at a major platform like the Jewellery Arabia Exhibition. He said seeing their concepts transformed into final pieces displayed at the pavilion demonstrated the ability of Bahraini youth to innovate and compete in the jewellery industry. He added that the company will continue supporting initiatives that give youth meaningful opportunities to grow their artistic and professional skills and contribute to Bahrain’s development.
Kooheji Jewellery, founded in 1952 by brothers Abdullah and Abdul Wahed Al Kooheji, is one of Bahrain’s established luxury jewellers. It operates multiple boutiques across Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, including key mall locations. The brand is known for its fine gold, diamond and gemstone collections.
