Bahrain: The 32nd edition of the Jewellery Arabia exhibition has begun at the Exhibition World Bahrain, with the participation of more than 700 exhibitors from 27 countries showcasing their exclusive collections. The exhibition is witnessing a 30% increase in quantum of participation, compared to last year.

Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain inaugurated the Jewellery Arabia exhibition, being held along with the Scent Arabia 2024 exhibition. He acknowledged the role of exhibitions and conferences in opening up new horizons for the Kingdom of Bahrain, saying that they have positioned Bahrain as a global hub for regional and international events while supporting the Kingdom’s economic diversification initiatives, in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.

Bahrain’s Minister of Tourism and Chairperson of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, highlighted the Kingdom of Bahrain’s dynamic tourism and commercial sectors, and acknowledged the patronage of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for the exhibition, that serves as a platform to showcase a diverse and exclusive range of jewellery, the highly coveted Bahraini gold, as well as watches, accessories and perfumes.

Jewellery Arabia aims to draw luxury jewellery enthusiasts, contributing to Bahrain’s position as a top shopping destination while strengthening the jewellery industry, a key pillar of the Kingdom’s economy.

Highlighting Bahrain’s rich heritage, the exhibition includes authentic gold jewellery displays alongside events like the “Decorated Art: Jewels of the Middle East” showcase, blending tradition with contemporary Middle Eastern art.

A series of panel discussions will delve into the latest jewellery trends over the next few days, while the Bahrain Institute of Pearls and Gemstones (DANAT), will unveil a book featuring the jewellery of the Egyptian royal family.
