The new collection translates ink art into gold jewellery introducing a distinct design direction, merging traditional craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics to create wearable pieces that reflect both technical precision and artistic interpretation

Dubai: Dubai-based Fabula Jewels has launched a new collaborative collection with contemporary artist Kosay Alrifai. Titled Fabula x Kosay, the collection brings together the traditional craftsmanship of gold jewellery with Alrifai’s ink-based artistic expression. This partnership explores the intersection of fine jewellery and contemporary art, creating designs that reflect both creative vision and technical skill.

Kosay Alrifai is known for his distinctive ink art that features a blend of bold strokes and intricate detailing. His work has been translated into physical form through Fabula’s manufacturing process, resulting in a series of jewellery pieces that reflect his visual language. The designs incorporate flowing ink-like patterns rendered in gold, offering a contrast in material and form. The collection includes rings, bracelets, and necklaces that integrate elements of both structural design and fluid artistic interpretation.

For Fabula, this collaboration represents a continued effort to introduce new narratives into its jewellery collections. The brand has built a reputation for experimenting with design-led collections that prioritise originality and craftsmanship. In this partnership, Fabula worked closely with Alrifai to ensure that the artist’s ink motifs were not only accurately represented but also adapted to suit the scale and wearability of jewellery. The production process required technical adaptations, as the fluidity of ink had to be captured in a rigid medium without compromising on the detail or form.

According to the brand, Fabula x Kosay is positioned as a collection that encourages self-expression through jewellery. While maintaining the functional aspects of wearability and quality, the designs prioritise visual storytelling, encouraging buyers to engage with jewellery beyond its ornamental value. The collaborative nature of the collection also reflects a broader trend in the industry, where brands are increasingly partnering with artists and designers to expand their aesthetic vocabulary and connect with younger, design-conscious audiences.

The collection is intended for buyers who are looking for contemporary pieces that combine traditional materials with modern artistic influences. It also appeals to art collectors and design enthusiasts interested in cross-disciplinary creations. By integrating gold with a visual language rooted in ink art, the collection brings a new design direction to Fabula’s portfolio while also presenting a commercial opportunity to tap into newer customer segments.

Fabula x Kosay is now available for purchase. Fabula plans to promote the collection across its retail and digital channels, with a focus on its unique positioning as wearable art. The brand views this partnership as part of its long-term approach to redefining its product offering through creative collaborations.

Darine Abu Salim and Saada Domloge launched Fabula Jewels in 2015. Fabula Jewels specialises in handcrafted 18k gold jewellery and currently operates one flagship store and an e-commerce platform.
