ALROSA will host its second annual ‘True Colors’ auction featuring natural colour diamonds this September, with the diamonds being placed for viewing at the Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair between September 16-20 and the auction concluding on September 23, 2019.

This is a unique opportunity to buy polished diamonds directly from the diamond mining company without third-party fees, ALROSA said.

The True Colors collection that will be put up for auction consists of more than 200 polished diamonds of fancy colours and various shapes, with most being GIA-certified stones. Among the more remarkable diamonds in the collection are an 18.07-carat, IF, pear-cut intense yellow diamond; a 6.78-carat, emerald-cut, vivid yellow diamond; and a pair of pear-cut Vivid Purplish Pink diamonds (0.54-carat, VVS1 and 0.55-carat, IF).

The provenance of every stone is also guaranteed as they have been manufactured in a closed production cycle at the Company’s in-house cutting division.

All the diamonds are accompanied by an extended digital ‘passport’, which contains the information about the date and place of mining, characteristics, and even information about the cutter and his professional experience. A customised video is also available that can be used to provide customers at the retail level with additional data on the origin of the particular diamond.

The first True Colors auction took place in 2018, and ALROSA successfully sold 210 natural colour diamonds there.

From 2018 onwards, DIAMONDS of ALROSA, the mining company’s cutting and polishing division has focused on polishing of large unique colourless and coloured diamonds. The company aims to become a leader of market for natural colour diamonds.
