Bahrain Jewellery Centre opens first Grand Seiko Salon at Moda Mall in Manama
According to the CEO of BJC, the boutique is an immersive space where patrons can explore and appreciate the artistry and perfection that define Grand Seiko timepieces
Manama: Bahrain Jewellery Centre (BJC), the official retailer of Swiss luxury watches and jewellery brands since year 1978, has inaugurated the first Grand Seiko Salon at Moda Mall in the capital city of Manama. The salon’s inauguration was marked by a special ceremony which witnessed the presence of H.E. Abdulla Adel Fakhro the Minister of Commerce and Industry and H.E. Mrs Asako Okai, Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom of Bahrain and attended by representatives from Grand Seiko, the CEO, Mohamed Shirazi’s family and their guests.
This development marks a significant collaboration in the Kingdom between two respected brands, promising an immersive experience where watch enthusiasts and connoisseurs can explore Japan’s timeless traditions, the BJC website said.
Mohamed Shirazi, CEO at BJC, said, “Bringing the first Grand Seiko Salon to the Kingdom is a huge step forward in our mission to offer our customers the very best in Japanese craftsmanship, aesthetics and tradition.”
“This boutique is not just a store – it is an immersive space where patrons can explore and appreciate the artistry and perfection that define Grand Seiko timepieces, delve into the rich history of the brand and be able to sample the singular commitment to innovation that has defined the brand since its inception,” he further added.
The Grand Seiko Salon at the Moda Mall showcases an exquisite collection of timepieces renowned for their continuous pursuit of perfection, and their commitment to the strictest standards of craftsmanship. It has established a legacy spanning over the years and consistently pushed the boundaries of watchmaking, earning a global reputation for excellence. Currently, Grand Seiko has store presence across Manama, Doha, Kuwait, Jeddah, Yemen, Jordan, Israel and Beirut. The world’s largest Grand Seiko Salon was inaugurated in New York this February where it relocated to its new address in Madison Avenue. This store is 6200 sq ft. in size and has some unique interiors which try to capture Japanese interiors and aesthetics. The watch brand first started selling through official channels outside Japan in year 2010.
