Bvlgari And Save The Children Celebrate 10 Year Anniversary With Iconic Pendant Design And A Special Middle East Campaign
The luxury jewellers celebrated the decade-long partnership with a new custom-made silver and onyx pendant while unveiling the new GIVE HOPE campaign
Bvlgari began their joint venture with Save the Children in 2009, committing to a better future for the word’s most vulnerable children. Now, ten years later, the Roman jeweller and international NGO are coming together to celebrate the anniversary of the partnership, which to date has helped over 1.5million children access quality education in the fight against poverty.
Jewellery has played a valuable role in the partnership, with Bvlgari’s Save the Children jewellery collection raising almost $90million (approximately Dhs 331million) globally. To mark the occasion, the brand is launching a new pendant this month that’s inspired by the iconic BVLGARI BVLGARI collection, crafted from sterling silver and onyx.
The signature hardstone disc is encircled by the bold double logo and is surmounted by a Mozambique ruby, while the reverse features the charity’s emblem. The new design is the fourth addition to the custom made jewellery collection, joining a silver and black ceramic ring, bracelet and pendant creations inspired by B.zero1’s design. Retailing from Dhs 2,050, Dhs370 from each sale is donated to the charity.
To further celebrate the partnership, Bvlgari Middle East proudly launched its first local campaign for Save The Children this month, shot by British fashion photographer Rankin. Portraying regional friends of the brand including Dorra Zarrouk, Tunisian actress, and Aseel Omran, Saudi actress and singer, each personality posts their own messages of thanks and invites followers to join in and share their own stories.
This local campaign is supported from Dubai, with Bvlgari Hotels and Resorts launching a fundraising program for the GIVE HOPE campaign, where hotel guests can help a child in need by making a simple donation upon check out. In addition, the Bvlgari Majlis – which can seat up to 190 guests for both Iftar and Suhoor – will be hosting a Save the Children exhibition during the whole month of Ramadan reflecting 10 years of a journey undertaken by Bvlgari and Save the Children to support children’s education.
