Dance Reflections by Van Cleef and Arpels supports dance legacy with Beytna at NYU Abu Dhabi

The Maison celebrates four years of choreographic heritage support, presenting Beytna by Maqamat at the Arts Center, reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s position as a cultural hub for global artistic collaborations

Abu Dhabi: Van Cleef & Arpels continues to intertwine artistry with luxury through its Dance Reflections initiative, presenting Beytna by Cie Omar Rajeh, Maqamat at the Arts Center at NYU Abu Dhabi. This marks the fourth year of the Maison’s commitment to preserving and promoting choreographic heritage, highlighting Abu Dhabi’s growing stature as a nexus for global cultural exchange.

Van Cleef & Arpels’ affinity with the world of dance dates back to the 1920s, inspired by the elegance and movement that resonate with its jewellery craftsmanship. In 2020, this connection was formalized with the launch of Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels, a global initiative supporting contemporary dance. Developed in collaboration with international partners, the programme champions the preservation of choreographic heritage while fostering contemporary creations.

This year’s presentation of Beytna, a production by the Lebanese company Maqamat led by choreographer Omar Rajeh, reflects themes of hospitality, cultural dialogue, and shared identity. Hosted at NYU Abu Dhabi’s Arts Center, the performance aligns seamlessly with Maison’s vision of bridging artistic expressions across cultures.

Abu Dhabi, with its growing focus on arts and culture, provides the perfect setting for this collaboration. By supporting Beytna, Van Cleef & Arpels not only reinforces its legacy in the arts but also strengthens the UAE capital’s reputation as a vibrant cultural destination.

Since its inception, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels has supported numerous dance companies and institutions worldwide, enabling the presentation of their works on international stages. Key milestones include the Dance Reflections Festival launched in London in 2022, which featured a comprehensive cultural program aimed at professionals and enthusiasts alike.

Anchored in the values of creation, transmission and education, the initiative underscores the Maison’s dedication to artistic preservation and innovation. Each year, its global efforts resonate locally, as seen in Abu Dhabi’s growing involvement with international arts.

For Van Cleef & Arpels, supporting the arts is more than a philanthropic gesture, it’s an extension of its brand philosophy. By merging luxury with cultural enrichment, the Maison deepens its connection with clients who value heritage, creativity and meaningful contributions to society.
