De Beers’ Last Sales Cycle Of the Year ends on a high note
Anglo American has announced the value of rough diamond sales (Global Sightholder Sales and Auction Sales) for De Beers’ 10th sales cycle – the last sale of 2019 – which amounted to $425 million.
In the corresponding cycle of 2018, De Beers raked in $544 million. However, there’s been a marked improvement when compared to the 9th cycle of this year, when De Beers sold $400 million in rough diamonds.
Bruce Cleaver, CEO, De Beers Group, said: “Following continued polished diamond price stability in the lead up to the final sales cycle of the year, we saw further signs of steady demand for rough diamonds during Sight 10”.
