Designer Sarah Abudawood adds powerful red carnelian stone to her Chakra collection
The collection features jewellery pieces made to celebrate all seven chakra crystals – black onyx, carnelian, tiger’s eye, malachite, lapis lazuli, amethyst, and milky quartz
Saudi Arabia: Saudi jewellery designer Sarah Abudawood, Founder & CEO, Yataghan Jewellery, has introduced the powerful red carnelian as the latest addition to her Chakra collection that will give confidence to the wearer. The brownish-red mineral carnelian is frequently used as a semi-precious stone and it is linked to the sacral chakra, which governs creativity and sensuality. Some people today believe that carnelian can improve self-worth and creativity, help them overcome feelings of inadequacy, give them more physical vitality, and help them sleep better. Carnelian is thought to boost drive for activities in the house.
“Carnelian activates your root chakra. It is known as the stone of creativity, and associated with empowerment, motivation and courage. When one feels that creativity is being blocked, that is because their root chakra is being blocked. For that, one should use Carnelian to unleash creativity as it can help overcome fear, encouraging zest and vigour for life. It invites you to live life and embark on every new day with passion, limitless possibilities and fearless enthusiasm,” says Abudawood.
Yataghan Jewellery’s Chakra collection was born out of a transformative journey during the pandemic, where Abudawood delved deep into the power of the seven chakras. The collection embodies the essence of balance and harmony. Each stone and every detail was meticulously crafted for the Chakra collection that dives into artistic mastery to provide customers with products of energy. The Chakra Cuff stands out in this range as a pure labour of love that took over 480 hours to craft. A statement piece intricately framed with 1,133 micro-paved diamonds, totalling their carat weight at 6.30 ct, set in 79.95 grams 18k gold, the handmade-cuff was designed to celebrate all seven chakra crystals with black onyx at the center, followed by carnelian, tiger’s eye, malachite, lapis lazuli, amethyst, and last but not the least, the master healer milky quartz.
Each piece in this collection is a testament to the beauty and significance of embracing one’s inner energy and power.
Yataghan Jewellery was named after the renowned ‘Yataghan’ sword, an exquisitely crafted piece of weaponry famous during the Ottoman Empire known to embody a unique shape, and carry a distinguishable sense of elegance that only a skilled craftsman could masterfully create. The eye-catching sword was artistically engraved with Arabic poetry and encrusted with gems and precious stones.
Born and raised in Saudi Arabia and currently based in Dubai, Sarah Abudawood drew inspiration from the Yataghan sword and translates the story behind it into her jewellery. She established the brand in 2008. Yataghan has pioneered the online retail movement in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia making it the first brand to lead the way and set the standards for the new normal. Abudawood delicately merges minimalist design, heritage and her passion for architecture into works of art that seamlessly fit with the demands of modern life.
