Dolce&Gabbana launches boutique in Al Diriyah, Saudi, inspired by city's traditional Najdi architecture, blends fine jewellery with lifestyle

The Dolce&Gabbana boutique in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, spotlights fine jewellery crafted from gold, diamonds, and gemstones. Located at Al Bujairi Terrace, the 1,500-square-metre store integrates jewellery, fashion, and lifestyle, marking a key milestone in the brand’s Middle Eastern expansion

Al Diriyah: Dolce&Gabbana has strengthened its presence in the Middle East by opening its first brand center in Saudi Arabia at Al Bujairi Terrace, Al Diriyah. This move is part of the brand’s broader strategy to expand in key markets within the region, followed by the recent launch of its flagship store in Riyadh. To mark the boutique’s launch Dolce&Gabbana held an exclusive private fashion show featuring an exclusive collection especially designed for the occasion.

The 1,500-square-meter multifunctional space consolidates Dolce&Gabbana’s offerings, including fine jewellery, watches, accessories, and clothing. The jewellery section highlights fine jewellery crafted from gold, diamonds, and other precious gemstones, catering to the growing demand for high-end jewellery in the Middle East.

Designed by Carbondale Studio under the direction of Eric Carlson, the boutique combines Dolce&Gabbana’s design aesthetics with the cultural and architectural heritage of Diriyah. Inspired by the Najdi architecture of the At-Turaif district, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the design reimagines traditional desert tents, blending seamlessly with the surrounding landscape.

A key feature of the boutique is the DG Caffè, which enhances the luxury retail experience the brand is known to offer. Centrally located within the space, the café’s golden mosaic ceiling is inspired by desert tents, symbolizing Saudi hospitality and the region’s cultural heritage.

Alfonso Dolce, CEO of Dolce&Gabbana, highlighted the strategic importance of the launch: “We are proud to inaugurate our first brand center in Diriyah, a key market in the Middle East. This project is a tribute to Saudi Arabia’s cultural heritage and a step forward in strengthening our presence in this rapidly growing region. With 1,500 square meters dedicated to fashion, jewellery, and lifestyle, this center reflects our vision for enhanced retail experiences.”

Jerry Inzerillo, CEO of Diriyah Company, commented on the partnership with Dolce&Gabbana by saying, “The opening of the Dolce&Gabbana brand center stands as a testament to Diriyah Company’s commitment to creating a global gathering place with world-class offerings. This boutique, inspired by Najdi heritage, reaffirms Diriyah as a premier destination for luxury shoppers. This launch marks the beginning of a valuable partnership between Dolce&Gabbana and Diriyah. We invite other luxury brands to join us in creating unique retail experiences.”

Diriyah, known as “The City of Earth,” is undergoing a large-scale transformation by Diriyah Company to become a live-work-play destination for over 100,000 residents. The development is expected to attract 50 million annual visitors by 2030, making it a strategic location for luxury retail and lifestyle brands.

The Diriyah boutique follows Dolce&Gabbana’s recent flagship store launch in Riyadh. The brand now operates five stores in Saudi Arabia and 48 across the Middle East, including locations in Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Israel, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar, Turkey, and the UAE.

The new boutique underscores Dolce&Gabbana’s commitment to the Middle East, integrating jewellery, fashion, and lifestyle with innovative retail concepts to meet the demands of a growing luxury market.
