Graff unveils world’s largest D flawless heart-shaped diamond
The brand has significantly bolstered its presence in the Middle East over recent years. Graff Diamonds now operate 10 stores across the Middle east with 4 stores in the glistening city of Dubai
London: Graff Diamonds has unveiled what is now the world’s largest D Flawless heart-shaped diamond, named ‘The Graff Venus’ in homage to the Roman goddess of love. The 118.78-carat gemstone is a stunning exemplar of colorless perfection, representing the highest grade of clarity and hue in the diamond world.
Originally discovered as a 357-carat rough diamond at the Letseng mine in Lesotho, Africa, the gem underwent an extensive 18-month transformation. Graff’s team of skilled artisans meticulously cut, faceted, and polished the diamond into its heart-shaped form.
In a teaser video shared on Instagram, Laurence Graff, Chairman of Graff Diamonds, describes the diamond as “a miracle.” The video provides a behind-the-scenes look at the intricate process of marking, digital mapping, lasering, and precision shaping that brought the diamond to its final form. In a statement on the company’s website, Graff praised the gemstone, stating, “It is the most beautiful heart-shaped diamond I have ever seen.”
While Graff has not yet disclosed how the diamond will be incorporated into its designs, reports from WWD indicate that it will be crafted into a wearable piece rather than being placed in a museum.
Recently, Graff diamonds partnered with Bahrain Institute for Pearls and Gemstones (Danat) to unveil a magnificent Butterfly Pendant, exclusively tailored for Bahrain’s discerning clientele. This highly limited-edition piece epitomizes the zenith of craftsmanship and precision.
Founded by Laurence Graff in 1960, Graff Diamonds has grown into a leading name in luxury jewellery, with over 50 boutiques across Asia, Europe, North America, Australasia, and the Middle East. The brand has significantly bolstered its presence in the Middle East over recent years. Graff Diamonds now operate 10 stores across the Middle east with 4 stores in the glistening city of Dubai.
