Jemora Gemhouse, an innovative auction house led by Dev Shetty, is poised to reshape the market for rare coloured gemstones. The inaugural auction, scheduled for March 2025 in Dubai, will offer a curated selection of sapphires, ensuring buyers access to some of the rarest and most valuable gems available.

Dubai: Jemora Gemhouse, a new auction house dedicated to rare and high-value polished coloured gemstones, is set to revolutionise the market by providing a specialised platform that connects gemstone owners with an exclusive network of buyers. Led by industry veteran Dev Shetty, the auction house aims to meet the growing demand for a curated environment where the finest gemstones can be showcased to the right audience, bypassing the limitations of traditional auction houses.

The inaugural auction, scheduled from 17th to 19th  March 2025 at DMCC’s Dubai Diamond Exchange, will feature a carefully curated selection of sapphires from renowned sources such as Kashmir, Madagascar, and Sri Lanka. These sapphires will be offered in different categories, including Blue, Pink, Padparadscha, and Yellow. The auction provides a unique opportunity for collectors, luxury brands, and industry partners to access some of the rarest and most valuable coloured gemstones on the market.

Jemora Gemhouse will ensure buyers receive certified quality gemstones, with each stone verified by leading laboratories such as AGL, GRS, Gübelin, and SSEF to guarantee authenticity and the highest standards. Backed by the expertise of Dev Shetty—who previously played a pivotal role in the success of Gemfields and founded Fura Gems—the auction house is supported by a team of expert gemologists who ensure that each gemstone is meticulously sourced, appraised, and valued.

In his statement, Dev Shetty expressed enthusiasm about launching Jemora Gemhouse, emphasising the need for a specialised platform for premium coloured gemstones. “For years, the industry has needed a platform that directly connects sellers with buyers, ensuring gemstones achieve their true market value,” he said. The inaugural auction is expected to feature once-in-a-lifetime collections unlikely to be replicated, further enhancing the exclusivity of the event.

The Dubai Diamond Exchange, which will host the inaugural auction, is recognised as the world’s largest diamond tender facility. The exchange has recently expanded into coloured gemstones, with record-breaking tenders for emeralds, rubies, and sapphires, further cementing Dubai’s position as a hub for the coloured gemstone market. Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and CEO of DMCC, welcomed the launch of Jemora Gemhouse, highlighting the UAE’s growing role in facilitating the global trade of coloured gemstones.

Looking ahead, Jemora Gemhouse plans to expand its offerings to include other rare gemstones such as ruby, emerald, alexandrite, Paraiba tourmaline, and spinel. With its innovative approach and commitment to excellence, the auction house is poised to become a major player in the global coloured gemstone market.
