Jewellery brands celebrate Emirati Women’s Day by launching campaigns, collaborations and collections
While Damas Jewellery celebrated the occasion with a campaign that highlighted three successful Emirati women who adorned its Alif collection, Jawhara Jewellery organized a humanitarian campaign aimed at supporting the talent of determined Emirati girls
Jewellery brands across the United Arab Emirates celebrated Emirati Women’s Day on August 28. The celebration marks the anniversary of the establishment of the UAE’s General Women’s Union in 1975 and wasstarted eight years ago by Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President, Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood and Supreme Chairwoman, Family Development Foundation.
Damas Jewellery celebrated 𝐄𝐦𝐢𝐫𝐚t𝐢 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲 with a campaign that highlighted three successful Emirati women who adorned its Alif collection – Nayla Albloushi, the first Emirati woman to summit Mount Everest; Nouf Omar, youngest Emirati female pilot to fly the Boeing 777; and Reem Al Marzouqi, first Emirati woman to obtain a patent for designing a car driven without hands. The collection pays homage to their profound heritage, celebrating their origins and innate strength, beautifully reflecting their unwavering determination to stand tall and strong, much like the letter Alif itself.
Recognizing 𝐑𝐞𝐞𝐦 𝐀𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐳𝐨𝐮𝐪𝐢’s achievement of securing a patent to design a self-driving hands-free car, the brand featured her story where she talks about her journey as a driving force for female engineers in the nation, encouraging their participation in a traditionally male-dominated domain.
Recognizing the determination of 𝐍𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐚𝐀𝐥𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐢 to achieve a historic milestone of conquering 𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 at an elevation of 8,848.86 meters in 2022, the brand acknowledged her as an advocate for women across the nation, igniting a spirit of resilience and motivating them to consistently pursue their aspirations.
The brand also featured 𝐍𝐨𝐮𝐟𝐎𝐦𝐚𝐫, t𝐡𝐞y𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐄𝐦𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢f𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐞p𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐭 as an example of possibilities for other young Emiratis with big dreams and goals, who started following her dream at the age of 17, where she was committed to serving her country through aviation.
To commemorate the occasion, Jawhara Jewellery organized a humanitarian campaign aimed at supporting and highlighting the talents and efforts of determined Emirati girls to become an active part of society. Supporting the ‘Workshops for Determined Creators’ project, the brand called visitors to grace their stores and receive a souvenir gift carefully crafted by Emirati women with disabilities. These products played a significant role in showcasing their abilities and potential, thereby enhancing their role in society and fostering their confidence as contributing and participating individuals in community development.
“On UAE Women’s Day, we proudly celebrate every Emirati woman for her importance, aspirations and strength. Each year, the beautiful Emirati woman inspires generations and is a source of life. Year after year, she builds generations, nurtures, educates, and succeeds. Every year, may you be well and blessed,” the brand posted on its official Instagram page.
