Jewels of Emirates Show 2024 breaks records with unprecedented turnout
With over 500 local and international brands and 144 exhibitors, this year’s show witnessed an increase of more than 40% in the number of participants compared to previous editions
Sharjah– The fifth edition of the “Jewels of Emirates” Show recently commenced at the Expo Centre Sharjah, boasting the highest turnout in its history. Organized with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the event showcased an array of rare and exquisite jewellery pieces, drawing in crowds from across the region and beyond.
With over 500 of the most renowned local and international brands adorning the exhibition floor, and 144 exhibitors, this year’s “Jewels of Emirates” Show witnessed an increase of more than 40 percent in the number of participants compared to previous editions.
The inauguration of the event was graced by the presence of Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Ports, Customs, and Free Zones Authority. Joining him was HE Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI and Expo Centre Sharjah (ECS), along with dignitaries and prominent figures from the local and international business community.
Following the inaugural ceremony, Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, accompanied by guests, embarked on a captivating tour of the exhibition, immersing themselves in the opulent world of fine jewellery.
A highlight of the event was the interaction with Emirati designers, who provided fascinating insights into their exquisite gold works and unique designs. From intricately crafted pieces adorned with diamonds, pearls, and precious stones to stunning silver sets and luxury watches.
The UAE and Italian pavilions stood out prominently, reflecting the global appeal of the “Jewels of Emirates” Show. Participating countries included Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Singapore, Thailand, Russia, Turkey, China, Pakistan, India, and Italy, underscoring the event’s international significance.
Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi hailed the resounding success of the show and praised the efforts of Expo Centre Sharjah in organizing the event, emphasizing its pivotal role in promoting the UAE’s gold and jewellery industry and supporting young Emirati talent.
HE Abdullah Sultan Al Owais underscored the event’s importance in consolidating Sharjah’s status as a regional and global hub for the gold and jewellery trade.
Saif Mohammed Al Midfa reiterated Expo Centre Sharjah’s commitment to ensuring the event’s success by providing top-notch services to exhibitors and visitors alike. He emphasized the importance of diversifying specialised exhibitions to stimulate growth in the jewellery and luxury watches sector.
