Kuwait’s Aubade Jewelry hosts a coin jewellery customisation event for local patrons with LA-based designer Baylee Zwart of Azlee

The collaboration offers patrons a rare opportunity to explore Azlee’s collections and create bespoke coin jewellery, blending personal stories with fine craftsmanship in a modern reinterpretation of meaningful amulets.

Kuwait: Aubade Jewelry, a prominent fine jewellery boutique in Kuwait, is set to host a trunk show and coin customisation event in collaboration with Los Angeles-based designer Baylee Zwart of Azlee. Scheduled for January 27th, the event will be held at Aubade’s boutique, offering clients a rare opportunity to explore Azlee’s collections and customise meaningful coin jewellery.

The trunk show will feature Azlee’s signature coin jewellery, allowing clients to design bespoke pieces. Attendees can select symbols from a curated library of ancient and modern motifs, choose accent symbols, and incorporate up to five gemstones, including diamonds, rubies, emeralds, and sapphires. The design process is intended to transform personal stories and moments into meaningful jewellery.

Previous collaborations between Aubade Jewelry and AZLEE have included unique creations such as a coin charm based on a child’s drawing of their family. Crafted in gold and adorned with gemstones like sapphires, diamonds, and emeralds, the piece reflected the client’s sentimental connection to the design. Another example is a custom coin depicting the constellation Lyra, created as a tribute to a client’s child, Vega, the brightest star in the constellation.

Other customisation options available at the event include fingerprint coins and coins featuring personal drawings or symbols. These designs are described as modern interpretations of amulets that combine meaningful stories with fine craftsmanship.

Founded in 2013 by Duha AlRamadhan, Aubade has established itself as a go-to destination for contemporary, design-led fine jewellery. AlRamadhan launched the business to address the lack of independent jewellery brands in Kuwait, transforming her passion for jewellery into a thriving enterprise. Over the years, Aubade has become renowned for its curated selection of independent designers from across the globe, showcasing jewellery that resonates with modern sensibilities while maintaining artisanal excellence.

AZLEE, founded by Baylee Ann Zwart in 2015, is celebrated for its elevated designs blending ancient jewellery-making techniques with contemporary aesthetics. The brand’s signature coin jewellery, which combines historical symbolism with personalisation, has become a hallmark of its offering. Each AZLEE piece is crafted from recycled 18k gold in Los Angeles.
