World’s Most Expensive Perfume ‘Shumukh’, Adorned With Diamond, Pearl & Gold Breaks 3 World Records

The Spirit of Dubai Parfums (part of Nabeel Perfumes Group) introduced a unisex fragrance, Shumukh, with 3,571 diamonds on the bottle to make it most expensive, tallest and most gemmed perfume bottle ever by making three Guinness world records. The bottle was designed by Asghar Adam Ali Ibrahim, and sits in a wheeled pedestal.

According to Guinness World Records, Spirit of Dubai says SHUMUKH, which translates to  deserving the highest , unites both jewellery and perfume to create a product that “tells the tale of Dubai through seven core design elements”.

These are: pearl diving (Durra); falconry (Baz); Arabian horses (Abjar); roses (Narjesi); luxury (Haibah); Arabian hospitality (Diwan) and Dubai’s stature as a ‘city of the future’ (Aamal). Shumukh, the perfume, costs around USD $1295 million per bottle making it the world’s expensive perfume ever. The bottle sits in a wheeled pedestal with a remote control that adjusts the height and direction of the spray, making it the world s tallest commercially available remote-controlled fragrance spray bottle at a total height of 6 feet, 5.6 inches.

After the certificate presentation on 12 March, the record-breaking bottle was displayed in The Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue as part of its ART+ series.
