Malabar Gold’s new outlet opens at Mirqab Mall
Malabar Gold & Diamonds has announced that it continues to expand and strengthen its latest retail concept, MGD – Lifestyle Jewellery, by opening its 27th store globally in Qatar.
The latest store, located in Doha’s Mirqab Mall, was inaugurated recently by Shamlal Ahamed, managing director for International Operations at Malabar Gold & Diamonds. Present on the occasion were Abdul Salam K P, group executive director, Malabar Group; Santhosh T V, regional head – Qatar; Naufal Thadathil, zonal head – Qatar; other management team members and well-wishers.
The concept focuses on “offering trendy and lightweight jewellery that represents the independent and modern woman through its designs and collections”, the jeweller has said in a statement. “The vision of this retail concept is to be the preferred one-stop destination for lifestyle jewellery, offering unique designs and styles.”
The jewellery showcases at MGD – Lifestyle Jewellery are sourced from various parts of the world, such as Europe, the Far East and Asia. “The designs are inspired by the spirit of youth and young adults keeping in mind what they would love in jewellery,” the statement notes.
Apart from the new store opened at Mirqab Mall, MGD – Lifestyle Jewellery also operates in Lagoona Mall and Mall of Qatar. This concept will be seen at malls, department stores, hotels, travel retail, inflight and high streets. The group has expanded the network internationally and currently operates 27 outlets across Qatar, India, Oman, Kuwait, Malaysia, Singapore, the UAE and Bahrain. The group also has plans to expand in the Middle East and Far East in the coming months.
MGD – Lifestyle Jewellery offers a wide range of trendy and lightweight jewellery that includes 18K, 21K and 22K gold jewellery, diamond jewellery, uncut diamond jewellery, precious gem jewellery and pearl jewellery.
“These pieces of jewellery are designed in a way where can be used as practical, convenient and simple jewellery for daily use without compromising on service or quality. This concept targets young-at-heart teenagers, working women and those fashion and style oriented individuals who are interested in new and unique jewellery at competitive prices,” the statement added.
