Middle Eastern jewellery designers accessorize stars at the Emmy Awards 2024

The year kickstarts well for the designers from the region as they are getting recognition globally

DUBAI: Arab jewellery designers are spreading their influence beyond borders and the latest representation of that is the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards. Arab fine jewellery designers, EFFY jewelry and Suzanne Kalan, had a strong presence on the red carpet, with stars Aubrey Plaza and Zanna Roberts Rassi displaying their creations.

After designing jewellery for stars such as Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Adele, Jennifer Lopez, and more talent in 2023, it seems that Arab designers are on their way to making this year even more successful than the last.

Entertainment reporter Rassi showed off a set of rings by Lebanese designer Suzanne Kalan.

For 35 years, the fine jewellery brand’s founder and designer Suzanne Kalan has brought her personal touch to every piece of jewellery she designs and has been making the rounds on red carpets as of late.

Actress and comedian Plaza glittered in EFFY jewelry, founded by Fatollah “Effy” Hematian, who hails from Iran.

Founded in 1979, the fine jewellery brand has been crafting jewellery for the last 45 years. After the demise of the founder, his son Bobby Hematian owns the brand right now. Effy jewelry is known by the industry for its vividly colored gemstones and strong feminine mystique.

Brands such as L’atelier Nawbar, Fabula, Charmaleena, Nada Ghazal, and several others have showcased their excellent adherence to Arab heritage recently with their Eid Al Fitr jewellery designs and are proof of progression from domestic to international audiences.
