Mouawad unveils Starlight Crown for Miss Universe 2024

The crown follows Mouawad’s previous creations, including the spectacular Miss Universe crown in 2019, which featured over 1,770 white diamonds surrounding a central 62.83-carat shield-cut canary yellow stone

Dubai: Lebanon-based luxury jeweller, Mouawad, has unveiled the dazzling Starlight Crown, set to adorn the winner of Miss Universe 2024 at the upcoming pageant in Thailand. According to a report by IDEX Online, the crown was showcased during a gala dinner preceding the prestigious event.

The Starlight Crown is a masterpiece adorned with 133 white diamonds totaling 7.54 carats and over 2,500 white gemstones totaling 176.76 carats. Its unveiling marks Mouawad’s continued tradition of crafting exquisite crowns for global beauty pageants.

This year’s crown follows Mouawad’s previous creations, including the spectacular Miss Universe crown in 2019, which featured over 1,770 white diamonds surrounding a central 62.83-carat shield-cut canary yellow stone.

Mouawad, renowned for its classic style, exceptional craftsmanship, and rich heritage, was established over a century ago in Lebanon in 1890. The brand has consistently delivered luxury and refinement through its jewellery and watches, making it a preferred choice among discerning customers worldwide.

Last year’s Miss Universe crown, designed for the USA contest, featured 108.44 carats of blue sapphire and 48.12 carats of white diamond, highlighted by a stunning 45.14-carat pear-shaped sapphire valued at $5.75 million.

As anticipation builds for the Miss Universe 2024 pageant, Mouawad’s Starlight Crown continues to capture attention for its opulence and meticulous craftsmanship, embodying the pinnacle of beauty and elegance in jewelry design.

The brand recently made a name for itself at an auction. A Mouawad “Toi et Moi” ring took center stage on June 13, where it fetched an impressive £1 million to £1.5 million ($1.3 million to $1.9 million). The accessory featured a five-carat radiant-cut fancy intense blue diamond obliquely set next to a 5.1-carat radiant-cut fancy purple-pink diamond. The two stones were surrounded by a gallery and shoulders pavé-set with brilliant-cut pink- and blue-tinted diamonds.

Headquartered in Dubai, the brand has one store each in Dubai (UAE), Manama (Bahrain), Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Doha (Qatar), Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), and Beirut (Lebanon), apart from holding offices and boutiques in Hong Kong, Geneva, L.A., and London respectively.
