The brand leaves no stone unturned to revive legacy as it recently partners with Arab designers for the House of Gold exhibition at Art Dubai

Dubai– Piaget, the esteemed Maison renowned for its exquisite jewellery and watchmaking, commemorates a century and a half of artistry with a high jewellery collection. In honor of its 150th anniversary, the collection showcases Piaget’s signature blend of extravagance and elegance.

Stéphanie Sivrière, Piaget’s artistic director for jewellery and watches, reflects on the inspiration behind the collection, which pays homage to Maison’s creative zenith in the 1960s and 1970s. “Our approach was not to replicate heritage pieces identically,” she explains, “but to reinterpret their boldness, originality, and elegance that define Piaget’s spirit.”

Crafted with skill at Piaget’s workshops in Geneva, the collection comprises 96 pieces that embody the essence of a joyful yet sophisticated lifestyle.

Recently partnering with Emirati jewellery designer Shamsa Alabbar and Saudi fashion designer Razan Alazzouni, Piaget’s exhibition at Madinat Jumeirah showcases a rich tapestry of its heritage.

“It was a natural choice for us,” remarked Piaget CEO Benjamin Comar, highlighting the significance of participating in Art Dubai to commemorate the brand’s milestone anniversary. The exhibition offers visitors a glimpse into Piaget’s mastery of gold through exquisite high jewellery pieces and iconic timepieces.

The centerpiece of the exhibition is the Limelight Gala watch, celebrating its 50th anniversary with a collection of 16 distinct iterations. These range from matte gold models adorned with white diamonds to designs featuring dials accented by vibrant gemstones.

In a nod to regional creativity, Piaget collaborated with Emirati designer Shamsa Alabbar on a special edition watch, marking her as the first Arab designer to imprint a design on the watch dial. Alabbar’s creation integrates her signature Token motif and Arabic calligraphy into a shaded matte yellow gold dial, limited to just 20 pieces.

Saudi designer Razan Alazzouni also left her mark on the exhibition, crafting an artwork inspired by the Limelight Gala watch. Her creation, adorned with emeralds, diamonds, rose gold, and chrysoprase, inspired a garment intricately embroidered with dense gold textures.
