Retail Jeweller Dubai Forum 2024: Top-notch speakers set to analyse trends and take a future-forward look at the industry
Discussions at the forum, being held at The Hyatt Regency, Deira, Dubai, on February 27, to include seismic shifts in business rules, trends that are guiding the biggest jewellers in the region towards the heterogenous consumer mix, how young scions of family jewellery businesses are disrupting the market and more
Dubai: The countdown has begun for the grand 5th edition of The Retail Jeweller Dubai Forum, scheduled to be held at The Hyatt Regency, Deira, Dubai, on February 27, 2024. At the forum, industry leaders will debate on sharply targeted topics to come up with insights that will benefit the entire industry, even as the jewellery fraternity of the Middle East assembles for a day of intense knowledge-sharing and networking.
A panel session titled ‘Evolving Industry Landscape: Business Trends and Envisioning the Future’ will be moderated by Amit Dhamani, Managing Director of Dhamani 1969. It will touch on the seismic shifts in business rules, trends that are guiding the biggest jewellers in the region towards the heterogenous consumer mix. The esteemed panelists include Tawhid Abdulla, CEO of Jawhara Jewellery; Anan Fakhreddin, Jewellery Group CEO of Alfardan Jewellery; KP Abdul Salam, Vice Chairman of Malabar Gold & Diamonds; Theo Swart, CEO of Al Zain Jewellery; Nishith Shah, CEO of La Marquise Jewellery and Mahesh Devji, Managing Director of Devji Aurum.
Another session, titled ‘The Young Turks: Driving the New Age Business through Innovation’, will have speaker Arjun Dhanak, Director of Kanz Jewels, talking about new perspectives and approaches adopted by young scions of family jewellery businesses and independent brands to disrupt the market.
A session titled ‘Innovations and Success Stories in Middle Eastern Jewellery Retailing’ will have speakers Aditya Singh, Head-International Business of Titan, and U Nagaraja Rau, Director-Strategic Operations of Bhima Jewellers discuss the significant breakthroughs in retail process, people management, infrastructure and networking that have bumped up the standard of jewellery retailing in the Middle East region.
‘Opportunities and Trends in Diamonds and Colour Gemstones in Middle East’ is a much-anticipated session, which will discuss how diamonds and colour gemstones are populating the ‘Land of Gold’ with great designs and attractive offers, and creating a prosperous market for those categories. Moderated by Chirag Soni of SGL, the panel will include Kaushik Soni, Managing Director, Tejori Gems; Jayant Raniga, Chief Executive Officer, Pure Jewels, UK; Dev Shetty, Founder-CEO of FURA Gems; Maha Al Sibai, Founder of Maha Al Sibai Jewellery and Ashish Garg, Head of Middle East Business, KGK Diamond & Jewellery.
A panel titled ‘Retail Solutions: Empowering Retail Jewellery Businesses with new Strategies and Services’ will see top tech solutions and retail solutions providers sharing their insights on the latest technologies – virtual reality, contactless payments and more. Rohit Hudke of Rings & I will talk to the audience about tech-led advancements and how brands can start out with technology in jewellery retail.
