UAE: Austrian jewellery brand, Swarovski, has launched an exclusive jewellery rental service named “Play Up The Light” in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This innovative service offers a unique and glamorous experience for customers attending special occasions and events, allowing them to adorn themselves with iconic pieces from Swarovski’s exquisite collections.
Starting in January 2024, the service will operate on a trial basis for six months and customers will be able to rent selected iconic Swarovski jewellery pieces for a period ranging from four to 20 days. The rental costs are dynamically set, ranging between 20% to 50% of the retail value of the pieces, making the service both accessible and affordable for a broader audience.
Customers can choose from an extensive array of contemporary jewellery options. The offerings include necklaces and bracelets from Swarovski’s unique collections such as Constella, Dextera, Florere, Matrix, Mesmera, Millenia, and others. These collections represent the brand’s commitment to innovation and design, providing a remarkable blend of style and sophistication.
To ensure the safety and hygiene of customers, each piece of jewellery is subjected to a rigorous sanitization process before being rented out. This underscores Swarovski’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene while providing an unforgettable experience for its customers.
In a statement, Alexis Nassard, CEO, Swarovski, stated that the UAE was chosen for this initiative due to its vibrant, innovative community and fashion-conscious population. He expressed that the country is an appropriate location to launch such a pioneering service, given its reputation as a global hub for fashion and luxury.
