The most exclusive World Cup souvenir: gold bars! Fanatik visited the luxury store where the jewelry is sold. Exclusive photo
The World Cup in Qatar is also associated with luxury in the Gulf country. And FIFA put on sale the most exclusive souvenir: gold bars. Fanatik visited the store.
Doha is an opulent city. Skyscrapers next to each other, artificial island, gold markets, five-star stadiums, the new exclusive VVIP status “invented” at the World Cup in Qatar, hotels that cost 8000 euros per night , all are benchmarks of luxury in the Gulf.
The most exclusive World Cup souvenir: gold bars!
And for this World Cup, FIFA has also created an exclusive souvenir for fans who want a special gift: gold bars. FANATIK visited the jewelry store where it is sold, “Al Sulaiman Jewelers”.
The store is a five star. With an elegantly dressed porter at the entrance, as is every detail inside: brilliantly lit windows, sparkling floors, spectacular chandeliers and smartly dressed salespeople, ready to help you find the ideal product you’re looking for.
FIFA put these bars on sale for the first time!
After we introduced ourselves and told them that we were here to see what these exclusive gifts look like, the employees were very kind and explained to us the story behind these ingots that FIFA is selling.
It is the first time that FIFA is selling these bars, which are stamped on both sides. On one side the 2022 World Cup logo is visible, on the other side is the trophy.
Prices vary from 100 to 100,000 euros!
It is a licensed and limited edition product. With an original design, the bars range from 1 gram to 1 kilogram. Thus, it addresses a wide range of customers, so that everyone has the opportunity to purchase such a product.
Obviously, depending on the weight, the prices vary from 399 rials (507 RON) for the one-gram gem to 377,499 rials (480,361 RON), that is, approximately 100,000 euros for the 1 kilogram ingots.
Each ingot has a unique serial number!
Each ingot has a unique serial number, which certifies the originality of the product. On the back of the label, there is a QR code and a hologram that authenticates the ingots.
The employees say that they are among the most popular products sold during this period, at the World Championship. And on the facade of the store there is a huge poster announcing that this is the place where these ingots are sold.
“Al Sulaiman Jewellers”, the official distributor of FIFA bullion! They can also be bought from Duty Free
Al Sulaiman Jewelers is the official third-party distributor of these FIFA-licensed bars in Doha and the Middle East, representatives told us. The first store was opened in 1993, in the capital of Qatar. Today they even have four Duty Free outlets, all selling FIFA bars.
Al Sulaiman Jewelers normally deals in 18 carat gold jewellery, which they recommend for casual, daily wear, to 22-23 carat gold jewellery, which is considered to be for occasions. In addition, diamond wedding rings can be ordered in this store, for those who want something really special for their wedding.
