Traveller Wins the 20Kg Bar at Dubai Airport’s Gold Bar Challenge

Dubai airport provided an opportunity for travellers to experience the thrill of a treasure hunt, or something like it. A 20 kg gold bar in Dubai could have been all yours if you could have managed to take it out of a glass box. Dubai’s gold bar challenge was held at the Dubai International Airport, and turned a lot of heads at the airport.

What’s the deal?

As fantastical as it may sound, the gold bar challenge involved a 20 kg gold bar, which was pretty heavy. Apparently, it was exceedingly difficult to lift it with just one hand. A video of a person trying to grab the bar is doing the rounds of social media currently, and by the looks of it, it is definitely not an easy task to complete. It seems like they have played it out well to make it a difficult task, as there is only a small hole just enough for a hand to slide in. Then, with that one hand, you have to make an effort to lift it and fish it out.

And the winner is…

Luckily for one man, it was a matter of concentration and perseverance, and he emerged winner at last. He manipulated his arm and moved the gold bar to take it out in a comfortable manner. Here is a video of the winner as posted by Twitter user Vikas_Thakur.
