With new exhibition in Tokyo, Tiffany takes the world on a visual journey of its history

Celebrating 187 years of creativity and craftsmanship, ‘Tiffany Wonder’ shines the light on the house’s masterworks and long-held connections to Japan

Tokyo: To commemorate two centuries of Tiffany & Co. and bring its history to life, the brand crafted ‘Tiffany Wonder’, an exhibition in Tokyo that illustrates its revered innovations and the spellbinding stories behind them.

The wonder exhibition is Tiffany & Co.’s one of the largest exhibitions, which features ten rooms and nearly 500 objects that explore themes that are central to the House’s identity.

Across the ten rooms, visitors can endeavour an immersive journey with Tiffany, exploring the history and craftsmanship of the brand. With more than 300 iconic objects to peruse, such as the first Blue Book, the first Blue Box, and the Tiffany Setting engagement ring, visitors can indulge in the fascinating tiffany creations.

Among the pieces on display are a rare George Paulding Farnham-designed orchid brooch and Jean Schlumberger‘s ‘Plumes’ necklace set with diamonds, rubies and sapphires. The exhibition concludes the 128.54-carat Tiffany Diamond, set in a transformable new creation inspired by Schlumberger’s emblematic ‘Bird on a Rock’ brooch.

The exhibition not only celebrates Tiffany’s achievements, but it also spotlights the company’s long-held connection with Japan since its early days.

In 1837, founder Charles Lewis Tiffany brought a selection of imported Japanese goods to the American market, a rare offering at the time. From there, many of the house’s designers, including Edward C. Moore, Louis Comfort Tiffany and Elsa Peretti, drew inspiration from Japanese art forms. And now, the Tiffany Wonder exhibition pays homage to the many ways the country has enriched Tiffany & Co.’s creative legacy.

In attendance, and adorned in Tiffany’s signature designs, were celebrities from all over the globe including Pharrell Williams, ROSÉ of BLACKPINK, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Olivia Wilde, Sunghoon and Jake of ENHYPEN, Anne Curtis, Kelsey Merritt, Yamada Ryosuke, Win Metawin, Baifern Pimchanok and many more.

Tiffany Wonder opens at Tokyo Node gallery, located at Toranomon Hills Station Tower, on April 12 and will run through June 23. Tickets are available on the Tiffany & Co. app on the iOS and Google Play app stores.
