Charmaleena Fine Jewellery takes the experiential approach for ‘Love Locket’ launch

The brand held an immersive event focused on story-telling behind each piece of jewellery to strengthen emotional connect with customers
Riyadh: Charmaleena Fine Jewellery took an experiential approach for the latest ‘Love Locket’ drop from its ‘Tales & Treasures’ collection. Instead of a traditional launch, the brand combined story-telling, craftsmanship and interactive touchpoints to create a deeper connection with guests.
Hosted in a setting that celebrates Saudi heritage, the event combined a live Arabic calligraphy workshop, personalized gifting, an intimate dinner and meaningful conversations with interactive experiences that reflected the collection’s inspiration. The format allowed guests to engage with the story behind the jewellery, reinforcing Charmaleena’s focus on creating meaningful customer experiences beyond the product itself.
“The evening was designed as an intimate celebration of story-telling, craftsmanship and meaningful connections,” said Hala Elkhereiji, Co-Founder & Managing Director, Charmaleena Fine Jewellery. “At Charmaleena, we believe jewellery is more than something you wear—it is something you experience.” She added that the brand wanted guests to leave “not only with a memory of the jewellery, but with a memory of the story itself”.
The ‘Love Locket’ is the latest addition to Charmaleena’s Tales & Treasures collection, inspired by the timeless love story of Qais and Layla. The locket opens to reveal the names of the legendary lovers, symbolizing love, memory and lasting connection. This was brought out by the brand through an immersive event to communicate the emotion behind the design.
“Rather than simply presenting the jewellery, we wanted our guests to understand the story, the symbolism and the emotions behind every detail,” Elkhereiji said. “Creating an intimate and carefully curated experience allows those stories to come to life in a way that people can truly feel and remember.”
The launch reflects a broader shift in the luxury jewellery industry, where brands are increasingly investing in experiences rather than relying solely on product displays. As consumers seek stronger emotional connections with the brands they buy from, story-telling and interactive events are becoming important tools for building loyalty and creating long-term brand value.
For Charmaleena, story-telling is not just part of a campaign but the foundation of its brand strategy. “Every collection begins with a story, and every piece is designed to become part of someone else’s story,” Elkhereiji said. “Our clients are not simply purchasing jewellery—they are investing in memories and emotions. That is why we believe experiences are just as important as the pieces themselves.”
The event highlights how experience-led retail can strengthen brand positioning, encourage customer engagement and give luxury jewellery brands a clear point of differentiation in an increasingly competitive market.
Charmaleena is a Saudi-based fine jewellery house with outlets across Riyadh and Jeddah. The brand specializes in gold and diamond designs rooted in spiritual and cultural heritage.
