Doha, Qatar: Al Majed Jewellery, a familiar name in luxury watches and jewellery in Doha, Qatar, has introduced an exclusive timepiece in collaboration with the Swiss-French watchmaker Reservoir. The Reservoir Popeye Limited Edition watch is a unique creation, with only 30 pieces produced exclusively for Al Majed Jewellery.

This exceptional watch pays tribute to Qatar’s rich heritage, drawing inspiration from the golden sand dunes of its desert and the country’s wildlife, represented by the falcon and the oryx. Featuring the beloved comic character Popeye, the design embodies his famous motto, “I am what I am, and that’s all that I am,” blending the character’s enduring spirit with Reservoir’s bold and innovative style.

Reimagined for a Qatari context, Popeye dons a traditional ghutrah while holding a falcon instead of his signature can of spinach. The watch dial captures the essence of Qatar’s natural beauty, with golden tones representing the desert sands illuminated by a radiant sun.

A standout feature of the watch is its Arabic numeral minute index, integrated into Reservoir’s signature retrograde minute complication. The hand sweeps across a 240° arc from 0 to 60 before resetting.
