Mandarin Oriental Jumeira and Garrard unveil sapphire-adorned Christmas spectacle in Dubai  

Luxury hospitality and heritage jewellery converge in a dazzling festive display as Dubai’s Mandarin Oriental Jumeira transforms traditional Christmas decor with Garrard’s exquisite sapphire-inspired design, blending royal heritage and contemporary elegance 

Dubai: Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai, has partnered with iconic jewellery brand Garrard to create an extraordinary Christmas tree that celebrates both brands’ rich legacies. Marking the hotel’s fifth anniversary, the collaboration has transformed the property’s festive décor into a breathtaking jewellery-inspired masterpiece. 

Garrard, the world’s oldest established jeweller founded in 1735 and once appointed Crown Jeweller by Queen Victoria in 1843, has brought its signature sapphire theme to life through an enchanting Christmas tree that captures the imagination. The installation embodies the brand’s storied heritage, featuring golden branches adorned with whimsical motifs, signature designs, and the iconic Mandarin Fan. 

Midnight blue baubles evoke the wonder of a starlit sky, while cascading ribbons of light add a magical touch of enchantment. Werner Anzinger, General Manager of Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai, says that the tree represents the ultimate celebration of sophistication, while highlighting how the collaboration captures the timeless luxury and glamour of both brands. 

From 28 November to 10 January, guests can immerse themselves in Garrard’s festive experience. A boutique adjacent to the Enchanted Garden will showcase an exclusive preview of the upcoming Lotus collection, set to launch in Spring 2025. Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore Garrard’s iconic collections, including Wings, Fanfare, and 1735, displayed near the gleaming Christmas tree. 

Joanne Milner, CEO of Garrard, highlighted the immersive nature of the installation, noting that the Christmas tree, special Afternoon Tea, and pop-up boutique create a magical environment that perfectly encapsulates the luxurious experience of discovering and gifting Garrard jewellery during the festive season. 

This extraordinary collaboration not only marks a milestone for Mandarin Oriental Jumeira but also offers Dubai’s luxury enthusiasts a unique glimpse into the world of haute joaillerie, transforming the traditional Christmas tree into a work of art that celebrates craftsmanship, heritage, and festive wonder.
