21st Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition concludes, attracting over 500 global brands and visitors from 175 countries

The exhibition ran from 30th January 2025 to 5th February 2025, at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center and was inaugurated by HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs

Doha: The 21st edition of the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition (DJWE) concluded on a high note at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC). The event was inaugurated by HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, in the presence of ministers, ambassadors, senior officials, and business leaders. Organised by Qatar Tourism, the exhibition ran from 30th January 2025 to 5th February 2025.

Spanning over 33,000 square metres, DJWE serves as a platform for networking and showcases international, regional, and local luxury brands. The exhibition remains a key driver of Qatar’s retail sector, reinforcing its position as a destination for luxury tourism. This year, DJWE features over 500 brands and exhibitors, with an expected footfall of more than 30,000 visitors from 175 countries. The event presents jewellery, timepieces, and rare gemstones from global luxury houses and local artisans.

The opening ceremony included the presence of HE Saad bin Ali Al Kharji, Chairman of Qatar Tourism and Chair of the Board of Directors of Visit Qatar, and Eng. Abdulaziz Ali Al Mawlawi, CEO of Visit Qatar. Al Kharji highlighted the exhibition’s role in positioning Qatar as a hub for international business and cultural exchange.

The exhibition included dedicated pavilions for Qatari, Turkish, and Indian brands, providing a platform for cultural and commercial engagement. A pavilion for young Qatari designers highlighted their craftsmanship, featuring heritage-inspired designs and training sessions on gemstones and jewellery-making.

Participating brands include Al Majed Jewellery, Al Fardan Jewellery, Ali Bin Ali Luxury, Amiri Gems, Fifty-One East, Al Muftah Jewellery, Blue Salon, Bvlgari, and Arts and Gems. Several Qatari designers, including Ghand Jewellery, Kaltham’s Pavilion, M Royal Collection, Al Ghla Jewellery, Alya Jewellery, and The One & Only Jewellery, also showcased their collections.

QNB was the platinum sponsor of DJWE 2025. QNB Group CEO Abdulla Mubarak Al Khalifa reaffirmed the institution’s support for local brands and entrepreneurs, emphasising its role in fostering a culture of excellence. Vice Chairman of Al Majed Jewellery, Jamil bin Mahdi Al Majed, expressed enthusiasm about participating in the exhibition and unveiling new partnerships and exclusive designs.

The exhibition also featured a collaboration between Education Above All (EAA), an initiative by H H Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, and jewellery house Amrapali. The partnership resulted in a collection titled Horizons of Heritage, inspired by architectural heritage and traditional Indian craftsmanship.

Industry professionals and visitors engaged in interactive workshops and expert-led discussions focusing on market trends and consumer preferences. The event schedule included business networking opportunities, brand showcases, and educational sessions designed to support industry growth.

DJWE 2025 continues its tradition of bringing together global brands, designers, and industry professionals, facilitating commercial and creative exchange. The exhibition was open to the public from 12pm to 10pm on Saturday through Wednesday, 2pm to 10pm on Thursdays, and 3pm to 10pm on Fridays.
