Boucheron consolidates UAE retail operations through joint venture with Al Tayer Group

Under the new structure, Boucheron and Al Tayer Group will jointly oversee the maison’s retail operations across the UAE, shoring up long-term investment in the region and enhancing control over brand strategy, client experience and retail execution
Dubai: French high jewellery maison Boucheron has announced a new joint venture with the Al Tayer Group, building on its long-standing presence in the United Arab Emirates and transitioning from a franchise-based model to shared operational control in the market.
The move coincides with Boucheron marking 20 years in the UAE, a key market for the brand in the Middle East. Under the new structure, Boucheron and Al Tayer Group will jointly oversee the maison’s retail operations across the country, shoring up long-term investment in the region and enhancing control over brand strategy, client experience, and retail execution.
Boucheron entered the UAE market in 2005 with the opening of its first boutique at Mall of the Emirates in Dubai. Since then, the brand has expanded its footprint with additional stores at Galleria Mall in Abu Dhabi in 2013 and The Dubai Mall in 2017. Over the years, the UAE has emerged as one of Boucheron’s most important markets in the region, driven by strong demand for fine and high jewellery.
The joint venture with Al Tayer Group formalizes a relationship that has developed over two decades. Al Tayer Group is a major luxury retail operator in the Middle East, managing a portfolio of international fashion, jewellery and lifestyle brands across the region.
Commenting on the development, Hélène Poulit-Duquesne, CEO of Boucheron, said the UAE holds a significant place in the maison’s global network. She noted that the new venture is aimed at strengthening relationships with clients, enhancing the in-store experience, and supporting the brand’s long-term growth in the market.
Khalid Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Ounass and Al Tayer Insignia, said the partnership reflects a shared vision and values, and will focus on shaping the future of luxury retail through closer collaboration, innovation, and sustained investment.
The joint venture will support an expanded product offering across fine and high jewellery, alongside more immersive and personalized retail experiences for customers in the UAE. The partnership also allows Boucheron to align more closely with regional consumer preferences while maintaining global brand standards.
Boucheron currently operates more than 90 boutiques worldwide. While the maison continues to expand internationally, the UAE remains a strategically important market within its global retail network, both commercially and as a regional hub for high jewellery in the Middle East.
