Egyptian star Yasmina El Abd joins Dior as brand ambassador for high jewellery, other verticals

The appointment is expected to see El Abd front campaigns, attend global fashion events and feature in regional initiatives
Paris: Dior has appointed Egyptian actor Yasmina El Abd as its latest global ambassador, extending her role across high jewellery, fashion and beauty as the maison deepens its engagement with emerging talent and the Middle East.
At 20, El Abd becomes one of the youngest faces to join the brand’s expanding ambassador network, which in recent years has included names such as Anya Taylor-Joy, Jisoo and Willow Smith. Her appointment underscores Dior’s strategy of aligning with culturally influential, next-generation figures across key global markets.
“It’s an honour to be joining Dior, a house that celebrates creativity, individuality, and a modern femininity I’ve always connected with,” El Abd said in a statement, highlighting the brand’s positioning around evolving expressions of identity and style.
Born to Egyptian parents and raised in Switzerland, El Abd has built a growing screen presence through films including Finding Ola, Midterm and Theodosia. Alongside her acting career, she has steadily gained visibility in fashion circles, with appearances that reflect a distinct and experimental personal style.

Her association with Dior has strengthened in recent months. In January, she attended the maison’s couture showcase during Paris Fashion Week, followed by appearances at brand-led cultural moments in Dubai during Ramadan—moves that signalled a deepening relationship ahead of the formal announcement.
Dior said El Abd’s “magnetic presence” and “multifaceted creativity” align with the creative vision across its divisions, from fashion under Jonathan Anderson to beauty led by Peter Philips to haute joaillerie, designed by Victoire de Castellane and fragrance direction by Francis Kurkdjian.
The appointment is expected to see El Abd front campaigns, attend global fashion events and feature in regional initiatives, particularly as luxury brands increase focus on Middle Eastern consumers and cultural influence.
Dior’s high jewellery business, led by Castellane, has become a key pillar within the maison’s broader luxury offering, known for its artistic storytelling and unique creations. The brand retails its fine and high jewellery through a network of exclusive boutiques and select salons in major luxury hubs worldwide, supported by Dior’s wider global retail footprint spanning over 300 stores.
