Throughout the past few years Cartier has supported various philanthropic endeavors, striving to improve the lives of the most vulnerable people from the world’s least developed regions. Now, the French jewellery Maison has pledged to donate to the Emirates Red Crescent fund to assist the region’s most vulnerable in the fight against COVID-19.

The main objective of the fund is to help stop the spread of the novel coronavirus and to create better conditions for families, along with encourging people to stay home and protect themselves from becoming infected. The fund was setup in coordination with the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority by the Emirates Red Crescent and other charity organizations within the UAE.

“More than ever, Cartier remains committed to supporting the less fortunate, those affected and the people caring for them during this difficult and unprecedented time,” CEO of Cartier (MENA) Christophe Massoni said.

“We truly look forward to celebrating the month of Ramadan with a spirit sharing and togetherness, which are dear to Cartier’s heart.”

Cartier joins a long list of fashion houses who have been doing everything within the power –  from creating face masks to supplying hand sanitizer – to stop the spread of the virus.
