The MD CEO awards envision bringing to the fore exemplary achievements of entrepreneurs, founders and C-suite executives in the Indian jewellery industry, a group that has historically been under-represented in the world of business. The award is given out to individuals.
The awards aim to highlight new areas such as work place development, CSR, customer experience and more, in which creative and pioneering leadership is opening up new paths from which the whole industry may benefit.

To nominate yourself, a peer, or a company for an award, please complete the official online nomination form. Each section of the form must be completed to be considered for nomination. Videos, photos (high-res head shot, property photo, etc.), and supplemental information can be uploaded within the form.
1. DEADLINE: Nomination forms must be submitted online by February 20th 2023.
2. Award finalists will be notified by email in December.
3. Finalists are invited to the Awards Event on Thursday, March 16th, 2023 where the winners will be announced during a celebratory dinner.
1. Award Nominations are open to retail jewellery shop owners.
2. Winners from the previous year (2022) are not eligible to submit a nomination for the same category in which they won. They may submit a nomination for any other category.
3. There is no limit to the number of individuals that can be nominated.
4. Self-nominations are allowed.
5. If nominating more than one individual, separate nomination forms are required.
6. Recipients, nominees, and nominators are encouraged to attend the Awards event on 16th March, 2023
7. Complete the online nomination form which includes a written statement regarding the nominee’s contributions and accomplishments.

1. Best Strategic and Integrated Marketing of the year 2023
Recognizes achievements in building awareness and business on the back of impactful marketing programmes across a minimum of four touchpoints including television, print, radio, OOH, social, experiential (where the customer was made to experience the product/service to communicate the brand’s value proposition and creative idea). Entries must highlight the details of the campaigns with objective or value proposition that needs to be communicated, consumer insight, target group, creative idea, communication, media plan, execution of the plan, effectiveness and results thereof.
2. Best Omni Channel Brand of the year 2023
Recognizes achievements in growing the business, and/or addressing specific business challenges through an integrated approach across offline and online channels such that consumers would start with an offline platform and complete his/her journey (be it information, lead generation or sale) on the online platform or vice-versa (This should be more than just the same creative idea being adapted to different mediums). Entries must highlight the details of the initiatives with a clear call to action while demonstrating performance outcomes. It needs to be shown how offline and online were leveraged in an integrated manner to help the consumer discover different aspects of the products/service and complete the journey across the two mediums.
3. Best Digital /Social Media Marketing of the year 2023
Recognizes achievements in growing the business, and/ or addressing specific business challenges through campaigns led by Digital as the lead medium. Entries must highlight the details of the initiatives including the objective or value proposition that needs to be communicated, consumer insight, target group, creative idea, communication, media plan, execution of the plan, effectiveness and results thereof.(Digital Marketing should have been at least 50% of the total media cost in case of integrated campaigns)
4. Best CSR impact of the year
Recognizes achievements in leading the brand to larger goals of community development by supporting social causes beyond business.
Entries must highlight how the brand is giving back to its community and creating a positive impact on the society and environment through its innovative & sustainable CSR initiatives.
5. Best customer experience of the year
Recognizes achievements in unlocking practical solutions, innovating and adapting to meet customer needs and exceeding customer expectations on the path to commercial success. Entries must highlight initiatives that push the boundaries of consumer interaction, engagement and loyalty. Customer experience can encompass a physical or a digital experience, or a combination of both.
6. Best Workplace and people welfare and development
Recognizes achievements in creating and nurturing a better people culture and employee experience that in turn positively impacts organizational performance. Entries must highlight initiatives taken for engaging employees, team building, retaining employees, and improving well-being while creating a clear and measurable return on investment by improving performance.
7. Emerging Retail Start-up of the year
Recognizes achievements in leading a start-up retail brand (should be less than5 years old)showing significant growth year-on-year, and potential to expand. Entries must demonstrate steady growth in customer base, awareness, conversion, and overall business y-o-y.
8. Emerging E-Retail Start-up of the year
Recognizes achievements in leading an e-retail start-up (should be less than 5 years old) showing significant growth year-on-year, and potential to expand. Entries must demonstrate growth in customer base, awareness, conversion, and overall business y-o-y.
9. Best family-managed business
Recognizes achievements in leading a brand (with less than 3 stores) through transformational change in business by way of introducing new technology, policies and practices across all spheres including retailing, HR, IT, marketing and others. Entries must highlight specific changes and their impact on modernizing and professionalizing the organization bringing in more objective decision-making.
10. Young leader of the year
Recognizing achievements of an individual below the age of 35 years leading and steering the business on a growth path through innovative and path breaking approaches in jewellery retailing. The individual must have been in the leadership position for a min of 5 years. The entry details must highlight the specific strategies and initiatives with clear and measurable positive outcomes for the business.
11. Leading Regional chain of the year – West
Recognizing achievements in expanding an independent family-run retail store into a fast-growing organized and professionally operated retail chain in the Western region. The entry details must mention the physical expansion of the retail identity in the last year. The overall increase in customers acquired, business growth, marketing programs, staff welfare and development, customer support and experience initiatives and more.

Recognizing achievements in expanding an independent family-run retail store into a fast-growing organized and professionally operated retail chain in the Eastern region.
