Nuun Jewels introduces the Ain collection inspired by Riyadh’s architectural landscape

Riyadh: Nuun Jewels has introduced the Ain Collection, a new high jewellery line created through a collaboration between its founder, Princess Nourah Al Faisal, and her niece, Princess Abeer Al Faisal. The partnership brings together two designers from different generations, each contributing perspectives shaped by shared heritage and their own individual creative approaches.

The collection draws its name from the Arabic letter Ain, the first letter of Princess Abeer’s name. The designers used the letter as the starting point for the collection’s narrative, viewing it as a symbol of identity, family connection and the way jewellery can carry personal meaning over time. Ain became a framework through which themes related to language, memory and continuity could be explored.

The design direction reflects observations from Riyadh’s changing architectural landscape. The contrast between the city’s older structures and its expanding modern skyline influenced the visual composition of the pieces. This idea of contrast is also evident in the materials used. Rose gold is paired with aventurine, yellow gold with lapis lazuli and matte black titanium with malachite. These combinations bring together varied tones and finishes, resulting in pieces that highlight both traditional craftsmanship and contemporary forms.

One of the notable pieces in the collection is a titanium and malachite design. Its lightweight structure and strong visual presence illustrate the designers’ interest in working with materials not commonly seen in high jewellery while maintaining practicality and coherence within the collection.

For Princess Abeer, the project offered an opportunity to further shape her design voice within the established identity of the maison. For Princess Nourah, known for her structured design approach, the collaboration provided space to support the next generation while introducing new ideas to the brand’s ongoing development.

Although positioned in the high jewellery category, the collection places emphasis on versatility. Several pieces are designed to move comfortably between day and evening wear, aligning with the preferences of clients who look for jewellery that is expressive yet suited to everyday use.

The Ain Collection ultimately reflects a shared design process anchored in heritage and mutual learning. With this launch, Nuun Jewels continues to explore the relationship between cultural reference and contemporary design, presenting pieces that carry personal significance while maintaining a clear and consistent aesthetic direction.

Nuun Jewels was founded in Paris in 2014 by Princess Nourah Al Faisal. The brand operates through its flagship space in Riyadh, where clients are received by appointment. The brand maintains an international presence through private viewings, collaborations and participation in industry events. Its retail model is built around direct engagement with clients rather than a multi-store network.
