Samra Jewellery launches inaugural Emirati talent show across Dubai stores

The showcase provides participating designers with retail exposure and direct customer access, along with insights into pricing and product positioning, to support their long-term growth
Dubai: Samra Jewellery has launched the inaugural ‘House of Samra: Emirati Talent Showcase’ in partnership with Dubai SME, the official government agency dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship and developing small and medium-sized enterprises, bringing together seven prominent Emirati fine jewellery designers across its stores in Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Hills and Dubai Festival City.
The participating jewellery design brands are Noora Shawqi, Khayal Jewelry, Masah Jewellery, Ailes Jewelry, FAL Jewelry, Aisha Baker Jewelry and Latifah Al Shamsi Jewelry.
The showcase gives local creators dedicated physical showcase vitrines in high-traffic luxury malls, enabling them to present their collections to a wider customer base. Each participating brand brings a distinct creative perspective to the programme.
Noora Shawqi draws inspiration from travel and the places she has visited, translating those experiences into jewellery. Khayal Jewelry takes inspiration from the concept of the muse, while Masah Jewellery focuses on everyday pieces incorporating stones and lacquer. Ailes Jewelry brings a contemporary aesthetic rooted in simplicity and the use of lines. FAL Jewelry, which is only three months old, offers jewellery designed to appeal to both children and adults. Aisha Baker Jewelry is known for its cosmos and fantasy-inspired designs, with an experimental approach to colour. Latifah Al Shamsi Jewelry adds its distinctive collection to the line-up.
Beyond retail exposure, the showcase is positioned as a platform for knowledge-sharing and brand development. Participating designers gain access to Samra Jewellery’s experience in areas such as pricing, product positioning and understanding customer expectations.
Katia Samra, who is leading the showcase, highlighted the importance of giving local designers practical retail experience alongside visibility, besides an opportunity to benefit from an established retailer’s customer base, expertise and industry knowledge.
The showcase forms part of the broader ‘From Dubai to Dubai’ campaign, reflecting Samra Jewellery’s focus on supporting home-grown businesses and contributing to Dubai’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
For Dubai SME, the partnership creates another avenue to support Emirati entrepreneurs, while Samra Jewellery benefits from introducing new creative voices to its retail environment. The collaboration highlights how established jewellery retailers can leverage their stores, expertise and customer networks to help emerging designers strengthen their commercial capabilities and reach wider audiences.
Established in 1941, Samra Jewellery is led by the third generation of the Samra family. The brand combines heritage, modern design and craftsmanship, with its creations reflecting Dubai’s cosmopolitan lifestyle while retaining its legacy of quality and artistry. The brand currently operates four boutiques in Dubai.
