Yataghan opens new flagship store in Jeddah, designates it as the brand’s headquarters

The brand has also launched a boutique at Riyadh’s Kingdom Centre, extending its presence to the Saudi capital’s luxury retail market
Jeddah: Saudi contemporary jewellery brand Yataghan has expanded its retail presence with the opening of a new flagship store in Jeddah. The development marks an important step in the brand’s domestic growth strategy and reflects its focus on strengthening direct engagement with customers.
The Jeddah store is located at the Alesayi Building on Thalia Street, and serves as the brand’s relocated headquarters. The street-front store has been designed with an emphasis on openness, material quality and symbolic detailing. Brass elements inspired by the signature Yataghan blade have been used throughout the space, referencing precision and strength, while striped grey onyx has been incorporated to represent continuity and progress.
Parallelly, Yataghan has launched a boutique at Riyadh’s Kingdom Centre, extending its presence to the Saudi capital’s luxury retail market. The Riyadh store follows the same experiential design approach, offering a curated presentation of the brand’s jewellery and providing space for private consultations and bespoke services.
Founded in 2008 by designer and entrepreneur Sarah Abudawood, Yataghan is recognized for its jewellery that draws on Arabian heritage while maintaining a modern, minimalist aesthetic. The new stores are positioned as experiential environments that communicate the brand’s identity, craftsmanship and cultural references rather than functioning solely as sales outlets.
Yataghan’s collections are inspired by the single-edged Yataghan sword and combine minimalist forms with Arabic calligraphy and tribal motifs. Speaking to Arab News, Abudawood explained that the name Yataghan is derived from the two swords on the Saudi flag, symbolizing conviction, protection, truth and balance.
She added that the concept of balance is central to the brand’s philosophy, noting that strength is expressed through purpose and restraint as much as through force. This principle is reflected across both the jewellery and the design of the new retail spaces.
With its expanded footprint in Jeddah and Riyadh, Yataghan continues to develop its position as a Saudi jewellery brand rooted in cultural identity while responding to contemporary retail expectations. The brand also has a showroom in Dubai. Its jewellery is sold online by premium department retailers like Bloomingdale’s, enhancing retail reach beyond its boutiques.
