Bulgari Unveils Aeterna Jewellery Collection in Rome, now available across its significant expanse in the Middle East
The Aeterna collection encompasses 500 creations, including high jewellery pieces, luxury watches, handbags, and fragrances, all unveiled simultaneously this summer
Rome: Italian luxury brand Bulgari unveiled its latest jewellery masterpiece, the Aurea Chandra Choker, as part of its new Aeterna collection. This launch coincided with Bulgari’s special 140th anniversary, marking a significant milestone for the iconic maison.
The collection will be made available across the brand’s vast presence in the Middle East. The renowned brand runs operations in 10 middle eastern countries with major consolidation in UAE, Israel, Jordon, Qatar, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia. The brand has 14 locations in UAE which signifies its interest in the region.
The Aeterna collection, meaning ‘eternal’ in Latin, epitomizes Bulgari’s enduring creativity and commitment to innovation. It encompasses 500 creations, including high jewellery pieces, luxury watches, handbags, and fragrances, all unveiled simultaneously this summer. This showcase underscores Bulgari’s ability to continually reinvent itself while staying true to its Italian heritage.
The Aurea Chandra Choker pays homage to Bulgari’s historic Chandra Line from the 1980s. This spherical choker features five layers of alternating pink gold and pavé-set diamond spheres, showcasing meticulous craftsmanship and state-of-the-art jewellery design. Despite its impressive size, the choker remains relatively weightless, achieved through the careful molding of each sphere from wax to ensure precise volume. Invisible links connect the spheres, providing tactile flexibility without compromising structural integrity.
Bulgari introduced the Aeterna collection during an extravagant evening event at the Terme di Diocleziano, ancient Rome’s largest bath complex built between AD 298 and 306. The choice of venue underscores Bulgari’s deep connection to Roman architecture and its exploration of balance, form, and spatial manipulation. These architectural principles are reflected in the harmonious proportion and volume of the Aurea Chandra Choker, exemplifying Bulgari’s dedication to timeless elegance and innovative design.
