The team secured the Gulf Cup by defeating Oman 2-1 in the final match held at Kuwait’s Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium. Abdulrahman Al-Mushaifri scored for Oman in the 17th minute, giving them an early lead. However, Bahrain equalised in the 78th minute through a penalty by Mohamed Marhoon. Just two minutes later, a defensive error by Oman’s Mohammed Al-Musalami led to Bahrain’s winning goal, cementing the team’s victory.
