Al Thuraya showcase in Abu Dhabi highlights regional jewellery and creative enterprise

The fourth edition of the show brought together over 220 local and international brands, and connected designers, artisans and retailers with a consumer base of luxury buyers
Abu Dhabi: The 4th edition of Al Thuraya Exhibition and Platform 2026, held recently at Marina Hall, ADNEC Centre, Abu Dhabi, reaffirmed its position as a key destination for luxury jewellery and creative entrepreneurship in the UAE. Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Dr Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, the exhibition continues to gain momentum as a commercially relevant platform that connects designers, artisans and retailers with a discerning consumer base.
This year’s edition brought together over 220 local and international brands, with jewellery emerging as one of the strongest performing categories. Exhibitors presented a diverse mix of fine jewellery, bespoke gold pieces, gemstones, pearls and artisanal silver designs, many inspired by regional heritage while incorporating contemporary aesthetics. The exhibition attracted retailers, collectors and luxury buyers seeking differentiated product offerings and emerging design talent.
Al Thuraya 2026 placed a strong emphasis on women-led brands, particularly Emirati jewellery designers who showcased collections rooted in story-telling, craftsmanship and cultural identity. Many brands leveraged the platform to launch new collections, test market response and build direct relationships with consumers and potential retail partners. The direct-to-consumer engagement model provided valuable insights into evolving purchasing preferences within the UAE luxury jewellery market.
Beyond product showcases, the platform hosted industry-relevant discussions, workshops and cultural sessions addressing creativity, sustainability, branding and business scalability within the luxury and design sectors. These sessions positioned Al Thuraya as more than a consumer exhibition, instead functioning as a business-focused ecosystem supporting long-term growth for creative enterprises.
Strategic support from partners, including ADNEC Centre, the Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau and cultural institutions further strengthened the exhibition’s role in contributing to Abu Dhabi’s broader goals of economic diversification and cultural tourism.
As Al Thuraya Exhibition and Platform 2026 concluded, organizers reported strong visitor engagement and commercial interest, particularly within the jewellery and luxury segments. The event continues to establish itself as a valuable sourcing and networking platform for retailers seeking distinctive design, artisanal excellence, and access to the region’s next generation of jewellery talent.
