DeGem’s new jewellery collections are pure brilliance

The designers at DeGem have introduced their latest collections, each piece covered in diamonds, the perfect accessories for either casual chic daytime wear or a swanky evening event.

Fansy, Rail and Vero Amore feature brilliant pieces that stand out and capture the eye, with each range carefully crafted with a very specific theme in mind.

Oriental flare

The Fansy collection by DeGem is inspired by the elegant Chinese palette folding fan, which is believed to be over 3000 years old, first recorded in history during the Shang Dynasty era (C.16th – 11th CB).

For centuries, the handheld folding fan has been used by aristocrats to illustrate poems, calligraphy as well as paintings, as a status symbol and at times, as a weapon. In Fansy, the premium jewellery elegantly merges the classic symbol of oriental culture with the creative positioning of brilliant diamonds.

DeGem perfectly showcases the Chinese palette folding fan by adding a touch of evocative hues to achieve a chic and timeless look.

The charming collection includes a range of pendants, earrings and rings.

Rail by DeGem draws inspiration from a familiar image – that of the train, something which most of us have experienced before and can relate to.

An extraordinary exercise in daring creativity and craftsmanship, the design of Rail by DeGem draws inspiration from the perfect proportions, extraordinary workmanship and architectural elegance of the impressive railway structure.

The curvature and the balance of the railway formation is core to the design harmony of the collection, with rows of baguette-cut and round brilliant diamonds artfully positioned to bring out its character and unique brilliance, living up to its shape and size.

Inspired by True Love

The Vero Amore collection is inspired by the ultimate love story – the authentic and pure love of “Ali and Nino”, the eight-meter-high contemporary kinetic monument of two lovers standing at the seaside boulevard of Batumi, Georgia.

Designed by a famous Georgian sculptor artist, Tamara Kvesitadze in 2007, it tells the story of the romance between an Azerbaijani youth and a Georgian princess.

The youth perished defending his country during the First World War but the story of their love lives on, inspiring the construction of the monument.

DeGem pays tribute to this love story and the magnificent masterpiece by introducing a new avant-garde collection – Vero Amore by DeGem.

Meaning “true love” in Italian, it depicts the timeless connection between diamonds and true love, while offering a contemporary interpretation of the classic Toi & Moi (you & me) aesthetic.

The collection symbolises the love between Ali and Nino, who were prepared to face any obstacle for the sake of their love.

The jewellery in this collection mirrors the form of the monument’s stacked segments to create the effect of volume and perspective.

Contrasting diamond shapes express the duality of “Ali and Nino”, with the geometry of baguette diamonds paired with polished round brilliant diamonds artfully arranged, set in 18k white gold.

The jewellers used hand-selection methods honed over generations to choose the finest diamonds and together, these diamonds create a spectacular light-reflecting sparkle that is both contemporary and timeless.
