Cannes Film Festival sparkles with Middle Eastern stars’ jewellery steeped in heritage and artistry

With brands like Chopard, Cartier and Messika in focus, Cannes became a global display of cultural pride and strategic brand visibility in fine jewellery

Cannes: The 2025 Cannes Film Festival underscored the cultural power of cinema as a vehicle for authentic, place-rooted story-telling, celebrating diverse voices and collective memory. This year, the spotlight also shone on female celebrities from the Middle East, who showcased regional style and sophistication while representing a vibrant cultural presence on the world’s most prestigious red carpet.

Bella Hadid

At Cannes 2025, Bella Hadid wore a sleek black Saint Laurent gown, but it was her jewellery that truly stole the spotlight. She dazzled in statement emerald earrings totalling 118.68 carats and a striking 12.15-carat heart-shaped diamond ring from Chopard. The vivid green gems and bold sparkle added a luxurious contrast to her minimalist dress, underscoring her refined yet daring red carpet presence.

Balqees Fathi 

The Yemeni-Emirati singer and actor Balqees Fathi captivated audiences with her elegant red-carpet appearance. At the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, Amal Clooney dazzled in a vintage black off-the-shoulder Christian Dior gown by John Galliano. The vibrant gems added a layer of luxury and elegance, perfectly complementing the feather-trimmed haute couture ensemble with timeless sophistication.

British-Lebanese actor Razane Jammal captivated onlookers with a stunning ensemble. She donned a cherry red gown from Zuhair Murad’s Fall 2025 Ready-to-Wear collection. Complementing her attire, Jammal showcased exquisite Cartier jewellery: drop diamond earrings, a statement diamond cuff bracelet, and a delicate necklace. As Cartier’s ambassador, her appearance seamlessly blended cinematic artistry with high fashion elegance.
