Dubai: Dubai-based retailer Fyne Jewellery has extended its sustainability approach to include humanitarian support through its recent ‘Fyne for Gaza’ initiative. The company has partnered with UAE-based global philanthropic organization ‘Dubai Cares’ and committed a share of its sales to education and relief programmes for children affected by the crisis in Gaza.

The ‘Fyne for Gaza’ campaign enables customers to take part in funding education and relief efforts through purchases, linking retail transactions with support initiatives. The jeweller’s initiative connects business activity with social contribution and places focus on responsibility within the retail sector.

The founder of Fyne Jewellery, a third-generation diamantaire, stated that the decision to focus on sustainability was driven by the belief that jewellery production should align with current expectations. Over time, the company expanded its approach beyond materials. It introduced carbon-neutral shipping, worked with manufacturing partners, and developed campaigns such as ‘Fyne for Gaza’.

The company stated that its operations now include measures across sourcing, logistics and customer engagement. It offsets emissions linked to shipping, plants a tree for each order and has revised its packaging processes to reduce waste.

Fyne Jewellery reported that its use of lab-grown diamonds reduces land use, water consumption and emissions. The company has positioned these measures as part of its overall approach to reducing environmental impact linked to production and distribution in its business.
