It signals a shift in how the brand is approaching the Middle East market, moving from just expansion to scale-led consolidation

Dubai: India’s leading fine jewellery brand Tanishq has opened a new flagship store in Dubai’s Meena Bazaar, marking its largest and most advanced retail presence in the GCC region to date. The opening transforms the neighbourhood where the brand began its international journey into the base for its next phase of regional expansion.

Situated in one of Dubai’s most established jewellery districts, the Meena Bazaar flagship is Tanishq’s first store opening in the GCC following the Titan-Damas merger. The store signals a more integrated and ambitious growth strategy for the Middle East, with a focus on scale, experience and depth of offerings.

The new flagship strengthens Tanishq’s footprint in the UAE with expanded gold and diamond collections, dedicated bridal and high-value zones, and an upgraded in-store layout designed to meet the expectations of regional customers. A key highlight is the introduction of Tanishq’s first ‘Diamond Excellence Centre’ outside India, aimed at enhancing standards in diamond craftsmanship, certification, transparency and personalized services in the UAE.

The store was inaugurated by C.K. Venkataraman, Managing Director of Titan Company Limited, who led Titan’s international expansion and played a central role in the Titan-Damas merger. With his retirement scheduled for January 2026, the Meena Bazaar flagship marks his final GCC store launch. Venkataraman noted that “Meena Bazaar’s long-standing consumer trust and relevance made it the right location for a larger flagship aligned with Titan’s long-term regional plans”.

Ajoy Chawla, CEO of the Jewellery Division at Titan Company Limited, described the Middle East as one of Titan’s most important growth markets. He said the Meena Bazaar store will serve as a reference model for future Tanishq flagships across the GCC, combining wider assortments, specialized retail zones, and the Diamond Excellence Centre to deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience.

Commenting on the launch, Ananthanarayanan Hariharan, CEO of Damas Jewellery, said the flagship reflects both the early strengths and long-term potential of the Titan-Damas partnership. He added that customers will benefit from broader collections, higher service standards, and a more seamless retail experience, positioning the store as a new benchmark for neighbourhood jewellery retail in Dubai.

Designed to serve Meena Bazaar’s diverse and long-standing customer base while also attracting younger shoppers, the flagship store reinforces Tanishq’s focus on trust-led growth. With this opening, the brand strengthens its GCC presence and advances Titan’s broader strategy to build a future-ready jewellery retail network across the Middle East.

The Tanishq retail chain currently includes 500+ exclusive boutiques in more than 300 cities.
