Damas turns seven Infiniti QX80 vehicles into diamond-encrusted limited-edition pieces

White gold accents, precision-set diamonds, black rhodium plating and careful hand-finishing were adapted into the vehicle’s design

Dubai: Damas Jewellery has taken its craftsmanship into an entirely new dimension through a collaboration with Arabian Automobiles Company, official distributor of the luxury SUV Infiniti in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, to celebrate the UAE’s 54th National Day. In a project that places jewellery artistry at the core, Damas has created handcrafted design elements that transform seven Infiniti QX80 vehicles into limited-edition commemorative pieces. Among other elements, each vehicle features on its dashboard seven constellation motifs inspired by the UAE’s first night sky on December 2, 1971, with 38 hand-set diamonds highlighting precision, elegance and Emirati heritage.

For Damas, the initiative is an extension of its long-standing role as a brand that has grown with the UAE and continually redefined regional luxury. the design team approached the QX80 not as an automobile, but as an alternate surface for fine craftsmanship adapted into the vehicle’s design in a way that maintains the refined, understated luxury Damas is known for. Damas used white gold accents, black rhodium plating, custom silver and 38 hand-set diamonds to shape the constellation detailing that reflects the UAE’s character and its constant forward vision.

This collaboration also highlights how jewellery brands in the region are pushing boundaries and exploring new avenues of story-telling. Rather than creating a traditional National Day collection, Damas used this partnership to extend jewellery design into an uncommon yet compelling canvas – an automobile. The result demonstrates the brand’s ability to innovate while staying true to its heritage and identity.
