Held from December 3 to 7, 2025, it had more than 150 exhibitors and strong visitor presence that underscored its relevance for Oman’s jewellery sector

Muscat: The Muscat International Jewellery Exhibition (MIJEX Oman) took place at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre (OCEC) from December 3 to 7, 2025, bringing together jewellers, gemstone traders and designers from the GCC, India, Turkey, Italy and Europe. The 2025 edition featured more than 150 exhibitors presenting collections that ranged from traditional 21k and 22k gold to contemporary diamond and gemstone jewellery. New collections developed specifically for the Oman market reflected consistent demand for both heritage styles and modern designs.

The exhibition was inaugurated under the patronage of Dr Fatima bint Mohammed bin Baqir Al-Ajmia, Executive Chairman of the Omani Council for Medical Specialties. The opening ceremony recorded strong attendance from exhibitors, trade visitors, and local retailers, underscoring the event’s relevance to Oman’s jewellery sector.

Exhibitors from Oman and neighbouring regions formed a diverse line-up at MIJEX Oman. Brands previously associated with the exhibition, including Alfardan Jewellery, Bhasker Devji Jewellery, Kriedy Jewellery, Blue Diamond Jewellery and Demanto Jewellery, brought a mix of traditional craft and contemporary design to their showcases.

Several international designers contributed capsule collections featuring diamonds, coloured gemstones and geometric silhouettes, ensuring a wide range of design directions and price points. Collections inspired by Maya motifs also appeared, blending traditional elements with modern finishes.

Craftsmanship was on focus throughout the exhibition. Exhibitors hosted live demonstrations where visitors could watch stone setting, filigree weaving, engraving and custom design processes in real time. Gemstone traders added an extra touch to the experience by displaying rubies, emeralds, sapphires, pearls and uncut stones, with experts explaining grading methods, sourcing practices, valuation criteria and broader market trends. Workshops on jewellery care, gemstone identification and introductory design concepts drew interest from students, emerging designers and hobbyists. At the business level, retailers and manufacturers engaged in informal meetings to discuss sourcing requirements, pricing and supply opportunities.

MIJEX Oman 2025 brought together gold, gemstones, design-forward collections, skill demonstrations and trade activity on a single platform. With the participation of brands such as Alfardan Jewellery and others from the region, the exhibition continued to position Muscat as a growing destination for jewellery retail, craftsmanship and sourcing within the GCC. Buyers, collectors and emerging designers found opportunities to engage with industry developments and the evolving landscape of jewellery design.
